 |  | Comment: While working on my budding Freytag-:Loringhoven-related project "From 1900 Dachau to 1917 New York Dada," I chanced upon Fritz Helmut Hemmerich's Astro-Pic of Comet Lovejoy's closest approach to Earth on April 23, 2017 (L). Comparing the comet's rather fuzzy tail to the ultra-sharp depiction of a needle's eye (R), he had - likely unwittingly - created one of those visual Dada puns based on "found objects." A good exam,ple for this is Else von Freytag-Loringhoven's sculpture of a "ready-made" plumning piece, which she irreverently titled "GOD." She created it in 1917 within the context of the short-lived NY dada movement..
